3421. [Synergistic cytotoxic effect of immunotoxin HEL-PE38KDEL and cis-platin against tumor cells].
The immunotoxin of HEL-PE38KDEL has been proven to be a novel biological reagent which has specific cytotoxic effect against breast cancer cells with positive erbB-2, 3, 4. However it has not been tested the interaction of the immunotoxin and the conventional chemical anti-cancer drugs. This study was designed to investigate the mechanism of the synergistic effect between HEL beta 1-PE38KDEL and cisplatin.
3422. [Effects of lidamycin on apoptotic gene expressions and cytoskeleton in human hepatoma bel-7402 cells].
Lidamycin, one of enediyne antitumor antibiotics, was isolated by our institute. It is the focus of intense due to its unique chemical structure and potent cytotoxicities to tumor cells in vivo and in vitro. In addition to cleavage of DNA, effect of lidamycin on apoptotic gene expressions and cytoskeleton may involve in its high activities. To further elucidate its mechanism, we have observed the effect of lidamycin on the above-mentioned factors in human hepatoma bel-7402 cells.

Low dose arsenic trioxide(As2O3) is one of the effective treatments for patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). As2O3 could induce complete remission in de novo APL patients as well as in relapsed APL patients who have been resistant to all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA). However, the underlying mechanisms of As2O3-induced remission remain obscure. Therefore, we designed this study to explore the possible mechanism of low dose As2O3 in treatment of the patients with APL.
