Hyperprogressive disease (HPD) is a phenomenon with greatly accelerated tumor growth and clinical deterioration rates compared to pre-therapy, in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). The aim of this study is to clarify the reality of HPD in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who were treated with atezolizumab plus bevacizumab (Atez/Bev) using tumor dynamics.

To develop the modified 4-item version of Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) with a better reliability and validity than the 4-item version of PSS (PSS-4) in evaluating psychological stress in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD). The present study also aimed to explore the correlation between dyspepsia symptoms severity (DSS), anxiety, depression, somatization, quality of life (QoL), and psychological stress assessed by two approaches in FD.

Evidence indicates that inflammation in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is associated with increased systemic levels of reactive oxygen species. Systemic oxidative stress has been associated with reduced levels of plasma thiols. Less invasive tests capable of reflecting and predicting IBD activity are increasingly sought after. We sought to systematically review the evidence inherent in serum thiol levels as a marker of Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis activity (PROSPERO: CRD42021255521).

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated with a greater risk of developing cardiovascular disease and have adverse impacts on the cardiac structure and function. Little is known about the effect of non-obese NAFLD upon cardiac function. We aimed to compare the echocardiographic parameters of left ventricle (LV) between non-obese NAFLD group and control group, and explore the correlation of non-obese NAFLD with LV diastolic dysfunction.

Colonic adenomatous polyps, or adenomas, are frequent precancerous lesions and the origin of most cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma. However, we know from epidemiologic studies that although most colorectal cancers (CRCs) originate from adenomas, only a small fraction of adenomas (3%-5%) ever progress to cancer. At present, there are no molecular markers to guide follow-up surveillance programs.
