Gene therapy has become a clinical reality as market-approved advanced therapy medicinal products for the treatment of distinct monogenetic diseases and B-cell malignancies. This Therapeutic Review aims to explain how progress in genome editing technologies offers the possibility to expand both therapeutic options and the types of diseases that will become treatable. To frame these impressive advances in the context of modern medicine, we incorporate examples from human clinical trials into our discussion on how genome editing will complement currently available strategies in gene therapy, which still mainly rely on gene addition strategies. Furthermore, safety considerations and ethical implications, including the issue of accessibility, are addressed as these crucial parameters will define the impact that gene therapy in general and genome editing in particular will have on how we treat patients in the near future.

Later-eating rhythm (LER) refers to a later timing, greater energy intake, and higher meal frequency in the evening. The role of childhood LER in obesity development is emerging, but most evidence is cross-sectional. Cross-context comparison allows the improvement of causal inference in observational studies by comparing cohorts with different confounding structures. This method is applied to assess the causal effects of LER on adiposity, by exploring the likelihood of residual confounding due to socioeconomic status.

A proportion of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 develop post-COVID-19 condition (also known as long COVID), a predominantly multisystem condition resulting in varying degrees of functional disability limiting day-to-day activities. We aimed to describe the impact of long COVID on work.
3338. Effectiveness of interventions for improving physical activity level in working-age people (aged 18-60 years) with type 2 diabetes: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

The increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes in working-age people imposes a substantial societal burden. Although physical activity is crucial for diabetes management, limited evidence exists to inform optimal strategies for promoting physical activity in this population. We aimed to determine and compare the effectiveness of interventions for increasing physical activity level in working-age people with diabetes.
3339. Factors affecting the delivery of community-based salon interventions to prevent cardiovascular disease and breast cancer among ethnically diverse women in South London: a concept-mapping approach.

In the UK, women from ethnically diverse and socioeconomically deprived communities are at increased risk of underdiagnosis of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and breast cancer. Promoting CVD prevention and awareness of breast cancer screening via community salons and primary health care partnerships can improve uptake of screening services and early detection.
3340. Surviving stomach bugs in UK ethnic groups: a qualitative study.
The exposure patterns across ethnic groups are unclear for stomach bugs that cause self-limiting symptoms, significantly burdening UK health-care services and the economy. This study seeks to fill this gap by exploring how inequalities arise in managing stomach bugs in UK ethnic groups.
